Looking out of a window on a stormy day today, I can see the leaves struggling against the strong gust of wind to find a place for themselves to settle down. It reminds me of my company’s journey since the registration day of 29th Aug 2016. We are ThinkRaw India Pvt. Ltd and we do solar EPC projects in Pan India.
Over the last five years, we could execute only small-size solar projects and always found it hard to answer the question most asked in the business world – ‘What is your annual revenue ?’. It was even harder to smile with a poised face and a calm heart to the sympathetic look that followed when we mentioned the figure. They were right. We could execute only a few small-size projects, the highest capacity being 45 kwp. It might be due to our inability to find the right market connect and/or stubbornness to deliver only good quality projects, which labeled us as a “High price” solution provider.
We managed to keep ourselves floating and continued to learn the business needs within the solar energy sector. The lockdown of 2020 introduced us to BNI, and then we realized the power of networking. This business networking platform and its expert members always pushed us to work to the best of our business acumen and skillset. It helped us realize our ability and increased our hunger. In May 2022, I am standing near a window on the roof of a new building, where we are installing a 110 kwp capacity solar unit.
Through the window, I can now see the wind calming down and the leaves settling down on the roof of the newly constructed MP Bhawan building in the heart of Delhi. It is an NBCC project and hence a breakthrough project for us, a brilliant connection from Mr. Gagan Garg from Garg & Associates, a prominent architecture firm in India. He is a senior architect and a fellow chapter member of BNI Explorers. He believed in ThinkRaw India and introduced us to the Shivalaya Constructions Group, which helped us obtain this brilliant strategic project.
A smile comes to my face now when I look at our financial figures this year.
