  • Have a clear plan

Unless and until you have a clear plan on what your task is and how you are going to go about it, it will be a very tough task to get more work done. On the other hand, if you have a detailed plan of what you are going to do and how it is going to happen, it will be much easier to implement it.

For each task, make a roadmap and create a plan of action. Prior knowledge of who will the task be given to, what is the deadline for the task, what will be the duration of the task etc. will help you get more work done in a short span of time.

  • Divide your tasks into small modules

Always try and modularize your tasks. Each task can be split into small modules, each of which can have their own timeline. And if you are planning to distribute one huge task among various people, modularization will be the most effective way to go about it.

Smaller modules are easy to track and keep a record of.

  • Make sure to do a regular follow-up

To make sure that your task is done on time, do a follow-up at regular intervals. A regular follow-up will also ensure diligent working on the task and you will be able to see clearly as to where the task is going. Keep a checklist that you want to finish every interval, so that you can check if the task is proceeding in the right direction or not.

  • Delegate the tasks

If you want to get more work done in a short span of time, your need to delegate your tasks amongst a team. The delegation of tasks will result in their faster completion and the tasks will be much easier to track. You could give each individual to monitor their task and set a timeline for each one of them.

Not only will delegation make your work easier, it will also teach your employees to take up responsibility and increase their morale. The delegation of tasks will also ensure the growth of individual employees and the overall business.

  • Prioritize your tasks

Whenever you have some tasks in your bucket to complete, you should prioritize your tasks and be clear on which task is to be done when. Once you have your tasks prioritized, it will be easy to assign a specific timeline to each task according to their priority. Even though you might create an initial priority list based on the value of the tasks, you must also be prepared to change the priority list as and when it’s needed.
