BNI SUCCESS STORY | FARZANA SURI | BNI MUMBAI WEST (SOL CHAPTER)

by BNI India

I was a 3 year old entrepreneur when I joined BNI. I am from an advertising background and have worked with large MNCs before becoming a numerologist coach. My biggest challenge was the inability to ‘understand how business is done’.
To me, BNI is a business school for small business owners. It has taught me the 6 basics of running my business.

1. Focused Sales Pitch –   I learnt how to remove the trimmings and get to the core by sharing what I do through a structured 30 secs script, on a weekly basis. No hemming and hawing. I strut my stuff with clarity and even have new ways of pitching it across.

2. Networking to build relationships – I have honed my relationship building skills immensely through the network opportunity I get 52 times a year.

3. Collaboration –  I work with financial consultants, business coaches, legal consultants, health professionals through collaboration. There are multiple opportunities and avenues of growth in business. It’s like having multiple pipelines.

4. Constant Learning – If there’s one place that stresses on learning and ensures you do, it’s BNI. It’s a microcosm of new learning.

5. You’re only as good as the last 6 months: The focus is on providing the best to your customers now, today. It’s prompted me to innovate my service offering, be committed to the basics and use BNI to push the needle northwards – everyday.

6. Giver’s Gain – You gain by giving, first. Giving has changed the paradigm for me.  What I have gained is invaluable – ability to mobilise a network, the respect I receive wherever I go and the support of people who refer me across borders.
