JOURNEY OF A MENTEE TO A MENTOR
Good morning BNI, I am Urmi , from Mosaics International, a cutting edge CNC cutting unit based in Chatterpur.
Sharing this one sentence along with a success story every week, guided gently and constantly by my mentor , I find myself transformed.
From the shy , tongue tied mentee whose voice could barely be heard in the next row to the education co-coordinator whose firm voice was heard by the leadership team during the education slot in the regional LTRT , to finally being the mentor herself.
This astounding journey was not just limited to BNI , but was perfectly mirrored in personal and professional life too.
I, like many others before me, joined BNI to get more work , but the magic of BNI was not in just giving me a fish , instead it taught me how to fish.
Professionally , I asked for and was given a role change, from production to sales. By God’s grace the orders have doubled. Today the situation such that we expanded and included a new machine into the stable, all our machines are running at full capacity , so much so that we have to outsource work to to keep up with our commitment of timely delivery with quality.
Personally , too, I have grown, my mentor, Arch Amit Behl, was truly a friend , philosopher and guide to me, who silently helped me cope with my demons, whenever I faltered , he was there to hold my hand and guide me to greater strengths, and taught me to face the world with confidence
